Information on how to register and do business with Amatola Water
Important Notice
All suppliers are sourced from the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
Amatola Water does not maintain a separate supplier database. To participate in our procurement processes, your business must be registered on the National Treasury's Central Supplier Database (CSD). This is a mandatory requirement for all government and public entity procurement in South Africa.
Register on CSDWhat is the Central Supplier Database?
The Central Supplier Database (CSD) is a single database for all suppliers who wish to do business with the South African government. It was established by National Treasury to provide a centralized supplier database for all organs of state and to reduce administrative burden on suppliers.
Once registered on the CSD, your business details, tax compliance status, and B-BBEE status are automatically verified, making it easier to participate in procurement opportunities across all government entities.

CSD Registration Requirements
To register on the CSD, you will need the following information and documents:
How to Register on CSD
Visit the CSD Portal
Go to secure.csd.gov.za and click on "Register" to create a new supplier account
Complete Registration
Fill in all required company information, including registration details, tax information, and ownership structure
Verification
The CSD system will automatically verify your tax status with SARS and your company registration with CIPC
Receive CSD Number
Once verified, you will receive a unique CSD supplier number that you can use to participate in government procurement
