About Amatola Water

An essential services utility operating in the water sector in the Eastern Cape

Amatola Water is an essential services utility established in terms of the Water Services Act (Act 108 of 1997) and accountable to the Minister of Water and Sanitation as its executive authority. Our primary function is the provision of bulk water supply and sanitation services, as well as offering a variety of other services to municipalities across the Eastern Cape. With over 25 years of service to the Eastern Cape, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner in water management and infrastructure development.

Established Entity

A Water Board established under Chapter VI of the Water Services Act to supply bulk water to municipalities
